The Central Coast Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex at Tuggerah

The facility is ideally located close to the northern rail line and the M1 motorway, both of which provide easy links to Central Coast centres, Sydney and Newcastle, making it a highly connected destination.

We will soon be celebrating the opening of the new complex by hosting events that reflect the regional significance of this special occasion. Further details regarding the program of events will be released in due course.

Information from Central Coast Council about booking your sporting, community or market event at the Regional Complex is available below, and Council is confident that this facility will generate economic and social benefits for the local area.

Project overview

Council acquired the land from the State Government in 2014. The Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex has been made possible by $13.7 million committed by Council and the support of a $10 million grant through the Australian Government National Stronger Regions Fund.

The Complex has been designed to be built in two stages:

Stage one – going on now – consists of nine playing fields, including a premier field, change rooms, canteen, public toilets and store rooms. There will also be public car and bus parking and a shared path within the site.

Stage two – will see the development of a multipurpose indoor complex and grandstand. This stage is not yet funded.

The complex will not be limited to organised sporting events. It will also allow for other recreational activities or social and leisure events such as markets, expos and festivals.
